If I was Jonas, I would rather be able to ask any question. I chose this because I cant take it when I cant ask any questions to anyone. If I cant ask any questions, I cant get answers, and then I wont know about anything. Since I am already trained not to lie, I dont have to focus on that. So I would rather ask questions than lie.

Journal 25/15/10

It was my birthday yesterday! It was really fun, I went to chilis and ate a bunch of nachos. I shoved all the mexican food down my mouth, and it was tasty! I also got a macbook pro, its really cool, but I have never used a mac until now. But i'm adjusting to it. Its the 13 inch one and the new one, it launched thursday night in Indonesia. That is what it looks like. It costed RP. 11,750,000 in iBox, and that is RP. 250,000 less than what it is supposed to be originally. I got many calls from family members to wish me. I also got some facebook messages to wish me. I had a great time at dinner, as my baby brother also joined the dinner, he was only eating cheese, it seemed like he liked it because he kept on trying to grab some more offthe plate. He is only 5 months though. The mac is nice, but I haven't gotten microsoft office yet, maybe on Friday or Saturday, I'll see later. I already have iLife, as it was preinstalled into the macbook. Its really nice and useful, better than my old laptop. I would have gotten an iPad if it came out earlier, but my dad gave me along explanation about how the iPad is useless compared to the macbook pro.

Jonas's Diary

I was just watching the ceremonies happen, one by one. I sat up because I wanted to see my sister on stage when the ceremony of 8 started, receiving her new jacket. She was smiling all along. Then my turn, my friends were getting good assignments, but the chief skipped my number, why? I was selected to be the receiver, the most important job, and there will be physical pain, am I ready for this?

Clio Awards Deconstruction

Target Audience- 18 and up man or woman (people that drive)
Why they chose it- Clio awards chose this because this ad catches your attention even though there is not much color. This ad helps you, it makes you be safer if you drive.

Elements-
1. Symbolism- it shows that the word child symbolizes the child. So if you see a child on a street, pull the break.
2. Body Language- no body language because there are no people
3. Camera angle- the camera angles here are great. They focus on to the main word which is most important word, "child".
4. Effects- an effect in this ad is the blur of the other words in the book except for child.
5. Lighting and color- the color in this is a little dimmed, like you are reading a real book. But it is focused on one word which is in bold.
6. Beauty and social standing- none
7. Layout and graphics- not many words in this ad, but you see the word child and the little sentence on the bottom because it is focused into the word.

Mac vs PC? Everyone knows this is the biggest competition ever. ut to me PC is a litle easier, because it is easier to navigate, and there are 1000's of models. Apple is the only company that uses the Mac software in their computers, and people think they are unique. Even though Mac is highly overpriced, people still die to use one. I really want to use a Mac, but i am used to PC, and now it will hard to adapt to a Mac. PC is not as high tech as Mac, but many people prefer a PC. As you see in the picture the PC looks less organized, and I agree. Mac is more organized, but overly priced. But PC is easier, but less organized. I prefer Mac though, even though I use PC. Also Applem products are better than Windows products.

Spongebob is the best show in the world. Everybody watches it because it's too cool. Without spongebob I would not be able to live properly. I need it to live. But nickelodeon isn't making new episodes, they should. I wish there were new episodes, with new characters and new cities instead if bikini bottom. It's boring without new episodes if spongebob. Spongebob is the coolest show ever, and everyone knows it. And nickelodeon should make new shows like spongebob, so more people will watch and more tv channel companies will include nickelodeon in there channel system. Therefore, nickelodeon will get more and more money. Using that money they can make more shows. They will get very succesful later, which is good for them. And nickelodeon should use some of the money to give to the needy. This is my opinion of how to be a succesful tv channel.

Psych

On friday we watched a show called Psych which is another mystery kind of like Monk. There where all of the elements of the mystery.

Crime was the death of Mr.McCallum's son.
Problem solvers where Sean and Gus, as Shaun was feigning that he was a psychic.
The villian was Mr.Mcallum, for killing his son.
The clues was the spiled coffee, the blood on the table corner, and the plaster on Mr.Mcallum's dad.
The evidence was the wound was fresh in Mr.McCallum's hand.
An alibi was the fact that Mr.McCallum was always denying that he had to do anything with the death of his son.
The red herrings was the kidnapping of the child to throw Sean off, and another one is when Sean thought the bag of clothes was money.
A witness was the dog and Rosso of the death of the son.
Suspense was when they are trying to find the son when the kidnapping happens.
The surprise ending was the dad killed his son.

The picture is when the cops are catching Sean because they think he is faking his powers. Also in this episode.

Elements Of A Mystery

This picture represents the crime happening, the crime is the whole point of the mystery, without a crime there cannot be a mystery. In this picture, the criminal is holding up the gun to a victim.

This picture represents the criminal, the person that did the crime. Like the crime, there is no mystery without the person that made the problem. Like in Monk, the criminal was Angeline, because she did the crime.

This one represents the victim, the victim is the person affected by the crime, often times the victim knows the criminal. In monk the victim was Angeline's uncle, because he was killed. Also can be called targets of the crime.

These are the suspects, the people who are accused for doing, usually the main suspect is not the criminal. But sometimes the suspect is the criminal. In monk it was the shopkeeper.

These are the alibi's what suspects make, an alibi is an excuse to get away from the person who is solving the crime. Like here Bart is saying that he did not do something, that is an alibi.

This is the most important element of a mystery, the detective or investigator is the person who solves the crime, they take time to solve the crime or problem.

These are the most important elements to me.

Monk

Today in class we watched a TV show called monk, which had most of the elements of the mystery, there was a crime which was the murder of Angeline's Uncle. The investigator was Monk and his colleagues. The criminal was Angeline for killing her uncle. There was no alibi in this mystery, the victim was Angeline's uncle. The suspect was the shopkeeper but it wasn't him. There was some suspense at the end of the episode. The red herring was the two other deaths that happened, Monk thought that the people are getting killed by the same murderer. There was no witnesses. The evidence was the medicine bottles and the voodoo doll. A clue was that Angeline was at all the deaths. The ivestigation was there done by Monk and the police. The suprise ending was that Angeline was the killer.

This is a cool riddle.

A man was about to be executed by the king, the king decided to give hm one chance to live. He was taken by a guard. Thee was a life door and a death door. And there was a guard standing in front of each door. One guard always tells the truth and one guard always lies. The Man does not know who tells the truth and who lies, and he dosent know which door is the life or death door. He was allowed to ask one question to 1 guard only. Using the answer he shall find out which door is which. Eventually he chose the life door and lived, what was the question that he asked the guard ??

Plastiki

The Plastiki is a 60 foot boat made out of 1250 plastic bottles. This boat is supposed to be sailed from San Francisco to Sydney, that is a long journey, and the whole reason for this is to show people that plastic bottles do not go to waste, you can use them somewhere else, and you can do something else with them. Each of those bottles is filled with gas to help the boat sail. It is a very high tech boat. David De Rothschild came up with the plan, and he wanted to show everyone the reason of collecting plastic bottles. There will be six people on the boat sailing, including De Rothschild.

Journal Entry 30/03/10

My spring break wasn't bad, I had to stay home to take care of my little brother, since he is a baby. I got a two day extra holiday because of my tonsillitis, and because of that, I got a fever that went up to 104 degrees, or 39 degrees Celsius. I enjoyed sleeping and resting at home, and also playing with my little brother and my big brother. My brother got a laptop, and so did I, I got a HP Mini, and my brother got a Sony Vaio CW, which is much better than my laptop, but I am happy with it. On 19th march it was my big brother's birthday, and we went to a nice Arabic restaurant with some family friends. I ate so much, and the food was delicious. I alsogot a new wallet, which is pretty cool. And I ate out for most of the meals, on thursday and friday I ate KFC burgers for lunch, which was tasty. The picture is my laptop. The next time I will go to that Arabic restaurant is probably on my birthday, which is in may, I really cant wait for it!

The Demigod Files by Rick Riordan *****

The demigod files is a book about Percy Jackson and three of his most dangerous stories.

Story 1: Percy is in school in New York when he sees Clarisse out the window of his classroom, he asks to go to the bathroom but instead he goes to ask Clarisse what she is doing there. She says that she borrowed her dad's chariot for a drive and her dad told her to return it by the evening, but her mean brothers, Phobos and Deimos stole it as a prank, and Phobos appears there and makes fun of them, but then Percy finds out that Phobos is the god of fear, so that means that he can show anybody their fear, and he shows Clarisse her fear. Percy attacks him and he disappears giving them a clue that the chariot is in a zoo an an island nearby. By that Percy knows that there is a zoo on Staten Island, they are taking a quick ferry but they find Deimos and fight him a little. They reach the island zoo and they find the chariot, but something is fishy, then both of the brothers appear, and they fight, at the end they defeat them and return the chariot to her dad.

Story 2: Percy is at Camp-Half-Blood playing capture the flag, him and his friend from his team are trying to find the other team's flag but they find Mymerkes, which means ancient ants in Greek, Mymerkes are about the size about a golden retriever, and they see the ants carrying a metallic dragon head, but Percy's friend run's to battle the ants and gets captured by them. And then they find help by Annabeth and her friend. They suddenly realize that the dragon head is the missing head of the golden dragon, the dragon that used to protect camp, which went missing a long time ago. The steal the head from the ants and look for the body, they find it and they assemble the head back on and commands the dragon to bring Percy's friend back and he does, and the dragon defeats the Mymerkes too. The end.

Story 3: Percy, Thalia, and Nico are sent on a quest, to get back Hades' stolen sword. They are given a flower that will help them find it, they go to find it and they are stopped by this river that if you go in it you forget everything, so Percy controls the water in the river so they can cross it, they cross it and they find the thief, a demigod named Ethan Nakamura, he gives it to a Titan, who Percy defeat's and at the end he returns the sword to Hades.

My favorite story was the 3rd one.

5 Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat *****

It is just a great book, it is about what not to do at IIT, which is then best college in India. The book is about 3 friends, Alok, Ryan and Hari. Ryan is like this macho man who is super strong and cool, but Hari and Alok aren't exactly what you can call macho, they are kind of fat and chubby. What happens to them is just weird, Ryan just keeps thinking about fun and not doing work, but Hari and Alok are a little bit more serious about work. As they continue their college life, they are getting bad grades, and 5 point something GPA'S, which really bothers them. Ryan gives Hari an idea to steal the majors paper from the principles office, and they try but are caught by security. They are suspended for 1 semester, and after Alok hears that, he tries committing suicide, but he survivies. They graduate and they get okay jobs and it ends like that.

Ipods are just amazing, they can do anything you want, from music to games to apps, they have everything. If somebody doesnt have one I think they are missing out on something, it is the best electronic device in the world so far. The ipod touch is really cool, you can go on facebook and myspace and the internet, its all in your hands. Ipod video lets you watch movies on your ipod, and the new nano has a camera! wow isnt it just great. I really like an ipod, and the creator of the amazing ipod is apple, their idea amazed everyone, you can have every thing in your hands. And their new product, IPAD is even better, it is a big ipod touch and you can play games on it, like doodle jump, tap tap, pocket god, and lots more.

Vampire Blood Trilogy Book One (Cirque de Freak) by Darren Shan ******

This is a pretty good book. It is about this boy named Darren who finds flyer of a freak show, and he wants to go to i with his friend Steve. They get tickets and they go there and watch the show. But Steve notices something, he saw a vampire and a spider performing in the show, but nobody else knew he was a vampire, and the spider was amazing, it could do tricks just by a blow of a flute. After the show, Steve goes to the vampire and asks if he can make him a vampire too, the vampire said he would try, so they start the process, but the vampire says that Steve has evil blood so he cant become one. And while that is happening, Darren is watching Steve. And then something pops up into Darren's mind, he wanted to steal the spider, so he steals it and shows it to Steve. Steve said that he wanted Darren make the spider do a trick on Steve, and Darren concentrated hard on the flute, and gave the spider directions how to do the trick, but it the flute gets interrupted, the spider will bite. So they do the trick, but Darren's little sister interrupts, and the spider bites. So they take him to the hospital and he is almost dead, so Darren goes to the vampire and asks him to cure Steve, but there are conditions. The first one is to give the spider back, and the second one is to become the vampires assistant, and that is crazy. Darren agrees and becomes a vampire and the vampire heals Steve. But one day Steve caught Darren sucking blood from someones cut. And Steve follows Darren and threatens him that he will kill him, and Darren tells him to back off. THE END.

1. Mildew- this is when your clothes are wet, after getting washed, and is taking a long time to dry, your clothes get mildew on it. Mildew is like black fungus that smells.
2. Hatch- this has two meanings a.one is when an egg has a chicken in it, and the egg cracks and the chicken comes out. b. it is also a door used on ships, they are little small doors that are on the ground.
3. Out of the blue- this kind of means out of no where. Like if a teacher is teaching and a student raises their hand and says "lets go to the movies!", that would be out of the blue.
4. Chateau- this is a French word, it means a big nice house, it cannot be a castle.
5. Orientation- this is like when you go to your new student orientation at school, the word orientation means to kind of make you get your way around, the new student orientation is to teach you your school schedule, and to show the the ways to get around school.
6. Preserve- this is to keep something safe, like you know when peeled apples get brown when they are left somewhere, a way to preserve it is to put it in water, it will prevent it from becoming brown.
7. Fault- a fault is like a mistake, like if you get in trouble at school, it would be a fault. Also there are faults in the earth's structure.
8. Thunderous- this is like speaking loud, like if your parents get mad at you, they will speak to you in a thunderous tone.
9. Contradiction- a start of an argument, example: "Yash do your homework now!" said mom, "But I wanna play soccer now!" Yash growled back.
10. Hesitantly- this is like stumbling while doing something, hesitating.
