In Too Deep by Jude Watson *****

This book is a good book. Amy and Dan's maze has started again, this time Amy finds secrets that she wont share, now both of their lives are at risk. As Amy finds the biggest secret of her life, she is being separated from her brother. What will happen to them now as their enemy's circle around them closer and closer every second, how much will Amy do to protect Dan? This book starts off in Australia, where they are following their parents trail in the game. They stay at their uncle's house. And meets her biggest enemy of all, Isabel Kabra. Isabel tries really hard to kill Amy and Dan. But she fails. They find the clue in Indonesia after thinking hard.

The best part was when they were talking about the Krakatau explosion, Watson described it in extensive details.

Journal Entry 27/1/10

I just keep thinking about going on an adventure one day, something like climbing a mountain, sailing across oceans, stuff like that. But barely people get chances, climbing a mountain costs a load, sailing across oceans will take alot of time and will also cost a load. People should be given a chance in life to get to go on an adventure. If I had to pick an adventure to go on, I would go scuba diving, looking for a sunken ship underwater. I would be darn excited to do that, it would just be amazing. Going underwater, looking at all those fish and sea creatures, wow. One day I will go on an adventure, maybe not scuba diving but any type of adventure. Adventures are fun, cool, you can get a learning expirience, and they're just awesome.

Haiti History-Why is it so poor?

Haiti was a poor country even before the earthquake, and since the quake hit them, it made them even poorer.

Haiti was controlled bay France, and there was a big slave revolt, and 150,000 people died, that was a very very big loss.

Another reason is because they were also attacked by H.I.V (aids). And aids can kill, so people started dying.

Also after independence, haiti was struggling with corruption, and that was very hard for them to go through.

Haiti also had to pay to a foriegn country for its liberty, they had to pay 60m francs in gold, and Haiti coudnt afford that, so they had to pay the debt slowly.

Also Haitians started cutting down tress, using them as charcoal, and almost 98 percent of the country's forests were gone, that leaves 2 percent of forests.

Before the 1960's, haiti was exporting coffee, and then the coffee prices around the world fell so low that they had find something else to plant. So people started to plant corn, peanuts and bannanas to feed their family, until some person came up and tought them how to make charcoal, and then there started to be loss of trees, no forests, no water or food, all because of the charcoal.

Soil erosion had killed all the mangroves, and coral reefs. And for people to fish for food, they needed to go far away, but they didnt have enough money for boats.

Haiti never had much resources, they didnt have much to plant, so how would they live, they had to find a way to live and they had to find something to plant.

The united states also took over them, and they were also racist to the Haitians, and that brought up alot of problems.

Haiti also had to go through the civil war, and many people started dying because of that, and then people started having less families, and less people that can plant resources.

Haiti Update

Haiti was hit badly by an earthquake last week, and they were expecting help, but nobody came last week, but now help is on the way. Many countries are trying to help such as America, France, Norway and others. There are also many websites made that are for donations to Port-Au-Prince, but there is one that senator Obama recommended in a speech, that is http://clintonbushhaitifund.org/index.php, and the maximum donation for that is $1000. People are trying to give aid, such as medicine, toileteries, food, and more stuff. There is also another problem, so many people are rushing to help, so there has been a big crowd at the airports, so only a few people can get through, others have to wait. This is a photo of a guy from the US that is trying to help.

Dark Calling by Darren Shan *****************

This is the second last book of the demonata series, and I'm telling you it's just great, it's a must read, it is one of the greatest books I have ever read.It is about Kernel, it starts off when they are still with Beranabus, and then they go on this boat where they meet Juni, and Beranabus dies, and then the zombies attack Kernel and he falls into a portal. In the portal he sees a ball of light, and the ball of light keeps following him and is trying to convince Kernel to come with him. Finally Kernel goes with him, and the ball of light tells him that he is an Old Creature, and Kernel gets shocked. The creature takes Kernel to the land of The old creatures, and he asks Kernel if he would stay and guard it to keep everyone safe, and this is the biggest decision of Kernel's life. Should Kernel stay at the land and leave all of his friends, or go back to Earth and put the creatures life in danger. Finally Kernel decides to go back to Earth and stay with his friends, but when he opens a portal to Earth, he lands where all of his friends are, but there is a demon attack and he has to fight with his friends, he wins the battle, and he asks his friend to fill him in with whats happened to them, they tell him that Beranabus is dead and he is devastated, and they discuss a plan to try to free Beranabus's soul from the demon that killed him, so they open a portal to the inside of the demons body, they find Beranabus inside, and they free his ghost, but they kill the demon and there is another demon attack. But they win it. And the book ends there.

My favorite part is when the demon attack happens, Grubbs is attacking all the demon and killing them, Bec is fighting hard using magic, and Kernel is fighting hard too. And it describes in detail about how the werewolves and eating all the demons. It was a good part

Haiti Earthquake

A few days ago there was a huge earthquake in Haiti, it was a 7.3 magnitude earthquake, which is pretty strong. This image shows a woman buried by bricks, and a corpse next to her. It was about for 30 seconds, but it was very strong. Tens of thousands of people died, and a lot are injured. Most of the buildings and houses have broken down or have been left ramshackle.

Journal Entry 12/01/10

Hello and welcome to Yash's journal entry today. I will write about an elephant that was very ugly, and that was not respected ever.

My name is Maisjeugegf, I am an elephant that has been through a pretty hard life, and that is because of my looks, I have one eye, two mouths, 3 noses, and 4 arms, yeah I know..you're probably laughing in your minds, and this is my story. I remember the day I was born, I open my eyes and I see two elephant nurses, they are laughing at me..but why? I didn't know either, until I looked at myself in the mirror...I screamed hard! My mom was looking at me, she looked at me and asked the nurse how this happened, "Your son eats to much and the food knocked out one of his eyes and made him grow some things" said the nurse. 2 years later I became two years old, and I went to my first day of school, as I entered this little elephant girl screamed and ran away like she saw a monster. As that happened I god sad and started crying, and I asked god why he made me like this. As I entered math class the teacher saw me and frowned, "This is our new student in class, would you like to introduce yourself?" asked the teacher, "sure, my name is Maisjeugegf and I like soccer. Um.......I know I look weird but can you please not scream and run away like the girl outside did....please?". I thought that would make them understand my feelings but that made it even worse, nobody ever talked to me from then. I needed help to fix my body.

To be continued.......

Family

This is a picture of him in my mom's hands.
Well this break has been a quiet exciting break for me.....I didn't travel anywhere, I didn't do any thing that exciting, but I did get a little brother..my mom was pregnant and she gave birth to a boy named Shaurya.....he is really really small and he is really cute, Its lots of fun being around him and playing with him. He was born on the 28th of December, I would rather have him than any other present, because a present can only last a year of your life, and then you might get bored of it if it is a game or you might not like it very much. But I really like playing with my little brother rather than getting a present.
